We have outstanding and dedicated faculty and staff who provide services to the fifth largest undergraduate program at Virginia Tech, and together, we are working to build HNFE into an internationally recognized department.
To enhance student learning, the department has added programs and options for both our undergraduates and graduates:
- Students have use of a virtual 3D human anatomy dissection table in an advanced anatomy and physiology course.
- HNFE has an option in applied nutrition and physical activity as part of the college’s online master’s program in agriculture and life sciences.
- Our Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program graduated its first cohort in December 2020.
- HNFE is part of Meraki, a Virginia Tech living-learning community that strives to model and shape a culture of health, wellness, and related areas on campus.
Our department is committed to expanding academic offerings and advancing research while maintaining our level of excellence to our students. Overall, we are delighted with our progress!
