2022 Dietetic Interns received Outstanding Student Awards from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics:

Sara Kushner, MS, CN: Outstanding Dietetic Intern in the Maryland Academy

Sara Kushner, MS, CN: Outstanding Dietetic Intern in the Maryland Academy. Sara earned her B.S. from Ohio State University and her M.S. from Bastyr University. After completing the internship in May, she will pursue a career as a registered dietitian nutrition focused on food and nutrition policy or nutrition counseling. She especially enjoys supporting neurodiverse clients with non-diet approaches to eating with ADHD.

Emily Jenkins: Outstanding Dietetic Intern in the Virginia Academy

Emily Jenkins: Outstanding Dietetic Intern in the Virginia Academy. Emily earned her B.S. from James Madison University. Upon completing the Virginia Tech's dietetic internship, she will continue exploring a variety of interests in her career as a registered dietitian nutritionist including clinical dietetics, women's health, intuitive eating, and working with students and young adults.
