    Nutrition Counseling Main

Mission

We provide clients with the knowledge, resources, and skills to successfully develop and maintain healthy lifestyles.

 

The Virginia Tech Nutrition Counseling service provides free one-on-one sessions with an upper level nutrition student. We will assess your current habits and help you reach your nutrition and health goals. 

The service is available both fall and spring semesters.  Anyone in the university community is welcome to sign up.

 

Do you have concerns with any of the following issues?

  • Making healthy food choices at the grocery store or dining centers
  • Cooking in your apartment for the first time
  • Planning and grocery shopping for quick, healthy meals
  • Weight loss or weight gain
  • Following specialized diets (like gluten-free) in the dining centers
  • Nutrition and exercise
  • Nutrition and women's issues (Menopause, Pregnancy, Lactation)
  • Nutrition for disease prevention
  • Nutrition for the family
