Employment During Internship
Interns spend at least 40-50 hours/week with internship-related activities. Employment opportunities that allow interns to fulfill program requirements are limited and expectations for intern performance do not change because of employment. If you have additional questions regarding working during the internship, contact the director prior to applying to the program.
Financial Aid
Interns may be eligible for financial aid in the form of federal student loans. Interns are classified as 5th year undergraduates for financial aid purposes which impacts award amount and is less than what is awarded for graduate student classification. To become eligible for federal loans, interns must complete a FAFSA form. Applicants are also encouraged to apply for scholarships through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and their state and local dietetic associations. AND scholarship applications are due mid February. Morrison Management Company offers a scholarship. Information can be obtained at http://www.iammorrison.com/dietsoda
