IN MEMORY

Dr. Michael Houston passed away on July 16, 2008 after a long struggle with leukemia. He was a professor and former department head for the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise. Mike received his B.Sc. from the University of Toronto in 1963 and his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo in 1969.

Mike was a teacher, mentor, and friend to many people both on and off campus. He was a true Hokie and will be forever remembered for his devotion to the VT football team. His spirit was always high and upbeat, even during and despite his illness. He lived his life to the fullest and was an example to everyone around him. We will miss him very much.
